The town
Limni Keri is a small village approx. 15 kms from the city of Zakynthos located on the slops of Marathia Cape hills, facing the island of Marathonisi and it is characterized by the a beautiful pebbly beach and cluster pines grown every where.
Limni Keri is an ideal starting point for a visit to the caves and to the surrounding beaches, alongside Marathias Cape or for organizing a day trip to the famous Lagana beach where the National Marine Park is located with the world known Caretta Caretta turtles.
There is a crossroad, before entering Limni Keri, which is leading to the mountain and the villa of Keri, if someone takes the right hand side road.
This is a lovely small village, with ancient buildings, narrow roads and the traditional kafenion, giving to the visitor the impression that time has stopped.
Whilst in Keri a visit to the Monastery must not be missed, as well as a visit to the lighthouse place, where from someone can admire the amazing landscapes views and the memorable sunsets.
The Beach
There is a small, but wonderful beach, expanding to the whole length of the village, with many local tavernas and shops alongside, as well as numerous trees on a row which offer a physical shadow to the swimmers.
The beach is pebbly but getting into the water it becomes sandy
